ISMAC is developing an original concept of international training, based on 3 main pillars: Strong country specialization with in-depth linguistic and cultural immersion, strong business involvement in partnership with companies and professional contributors, and personalized, long-term student support.
ISMAC’s main objective is to help students realize their educational and professional projects, to train today for the world of tomorrow, and in particular to acquire the keys and skills to work abroad, integrating new issues and new technologies.
ASIA as a «target»
ISMAC, a school recognized by the Rectorat de Paris, offers MBA 1 and 2 bachelors and DBA programs to students who want to work internationally, particularly in 3 Asian countries: China, Japan and Korea, or in France but internationally. Students come from all over the world, mainly from France and Asia, but for the past 5 years also from Africa.
The aim of the program is to prepare students for the professions of the future, in an international environment and with intercultural immersion from the outset. The main themes of the courses are entrepreneurship, marketing, communication and digital in an international context.
Immersion as reality
Students come to ISMAC with a clear sense of purpose. They have an international mindset and are ready to embrace intercultural experiences and life abroad. Language courses, including six hours per week for students in the France-Asia program, are combined with intercultural training from the very first year. Students from all backgrounds learn together in the same classroom. Starting in the second year, courses are also taught in English.
From the beginning of their academic journey, students have the opportunity to take part in language immersion programs in the countries of their choice. By the third year, they have acquired the required language proficiency to undertake internships in those countries, working with local companies.
Operational as credo
From the first year of the Bachelor’s program, students work in groups, in project mode, to put on events. As they progress through the years, supervised by professional teachers, they carry out more complex research: Marketing studies, creation of entities, identification of partners, distributors… on behalf of French companies. Partnerships are set up with companies who present and entrust the students with their problems. Mixed groups (French and foreign) are a strength for this work.
The student at the heart of the project
Each student has a tutor who follows him or her over the long term, and an ISMAC teacher is on hand throughout the school year. In addition to the exchanges and answers provided, the aim is to encourage students’ autonomy, so that they can make the most of their talents, discover their interests and strengthen their ambitions.
Teachers are regularly assessed, as is student satisfaction in general. Like the school’s administrative team and founders, they are of different nationalities.
The DBA is our highest-level institutional diploma. It leads to the publication of a thesis, and prepares students for teaching, research or management positions. The aim of the program is to train students for research careers, by deepening their knowledge and learning research methods. The DBA requires a high level of motivation for the research subject and a rigorous approach to work. The training provided and the support of PhD-qualified professors provide methodological support and create an environment conducive to thesis completion. The diversity of the students’ and professors’ backgrounds provides a tremendous openness and opportunities for fertile exchanges that generate new ideas. It’s also a source of inspiration and motivation. Research is a wonderful adventure, and ISMAC is proud to support exciting studies and brilliant careers.
