At ISMAC, preparing students for the professional world is built into the heart of every programme. From the first year through to graduation, students receive personalised support to define their career goals, gain real-world experience, and enter the job market with confidence.
ISMAC’s career support team works alongside students throughout their studies to help them build a clear and achievable professional project.
Students receive support with:
Internships are a key milestone in the ISMAC student journey, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real professional environments and start building a career network early.
Through our network of over 10,000 partner companies particularly in international business, Franco-Asian trade, and cross-cultural markets ISMAC connects students with relevant internship opportunities both in France and abroad.
Students are guided throughout the process: identifying suitable companies, preparing their application, and performing in the interview.
International students holding a French student visa are authorised to work part-time during their studies, within the legal annual limit of 964 hours per year.
This is a valuable opportunity to gain professional experience, integrate into French society, and support everyday student life in Paris.
One of ISMAC’s most distinctive academic experiences, the Consulting Workshop places students directly on real business challenges submitted by partner companies.
Students conduct market research, engage with real audiences, and deliver strategic recommendations to company decision-makers developing key skills in analytical thinking, communication, and project management.
“The ISMAC students did an outstanding job researching the French market by conducting real surveys with our target audience. Their insights were invaluable in shaping our pricing strategy, marketing positioning, and product development. I look forward to continuing our collaboration with ISMAC.”

32% of ISMAC students pursue their studies through the French apprenticeship system, alternating between academic training and salaried professional experience in a company.
Key benefits:
Students are supported from the search for a company through to the signature of the apprenticeship contract.
Upon completing their degree, international graduates may be eligible for the Autorisation Provisoire de Séjour (APS) a post-study authorisation allowing them to remain in France for up to 12 months to seek employment or launch a professional project.
ISMAC’s team provides guidance on this process as part of its graduate support pathway.
ISMAC welcomes students from a wide range of nationalities, with a strong focus on Franco-Asian business environments and cross-cultural professional dynamics. Student life, collaborative projects, and professional events throughout the year reflect this international identity.
The school is committed to accessibility and inclusion, ensuring every student learns in a supportive environment.
