Because we teach best what we experience on a daily basis, the instructors in the Business Manager program are first and foremost active professionals. Consultants, business developers, key account managers, project managers, and senior executives bring into the classroom what they apply in their organizations every day: practical strategies, up-to-date tools, and a clear understanding of current market challenges.

All members of the faculty hold higher education degrees and have accumulated many years of experience in business development, management, and the delivery of high value-added projects.  She teaches Negotiation and Sales Management, and also works as a business consultant, particularly on topics related to aligning sales and marketing an essential strategic lever for company performance and growth.

Laurent Bailly
Business Management and Accounting

He specializes in teaching business management, accounting, and financial management, with expertise in international development and business creation. His professional background includes teaching in BTS MUC programs, consulting in mergers and acquisitions, and serving as an Administrative and Financial Director in the direct marketing sector.

Assessment

Internship Objectives – Master’s Program

The internship aims to enable students to :

  • Apply the advanced skills acquired during their studies in a professional context.

  • Discover a professional sector under real working conditions, aligned with their area of specialization.

  • Develop their professional network and refine their career project.

Duration and Period

The internship must last a minimum of 80 days, in accordance with the requirements of the Master’s program.

Supervision and Validation

The internship requires a tripartite agreement between the host company, the student, and the institution.

It leads to the preparation of an internship report or dissertation, which is assessed during an oral defense before an academic jury.

Validation of the internship is mandatory in order to obtain the degree.

Business Sectors :

 

This professional activity can be carried out in all sectors that require the development of product and service sales. Business Managers operate within organizations that vary widely in terms of industry sectors (e.g. consulting, food industry, automotive, sports and leisure, information and communication, home appliances, transport and logistics, healthcare industry, human resources, etc.), geographical scope (France and international), company size (very small, small, medium-sized, mid-sized, and large enterprises), and functions (marketing, IT, finance, HR, etc.).

Business Managers generally work within mid-sized or large organizations, but may also operate in smaller structures with strong strategic growth objectives.

With experience, Business Managers may work as independent consultants for small organizations or support the international deployment of a brand. Their entrepreneurial skills (financial management, human resources management, strategic commercial and marketing vision) enable them to successfully carry out freelance assignments.

Selection process: Application file review and motivation interview

Prerequisites – Initial Training / Work-Study Program :

The two-year program leading to the professional certification “Business Manager” is intended for learners holding a Level 6 qualification (Bachelor +3).

By way of exceptional admission, candidates may be enrolled in the first year if they hold a Level 6 qualification (Bachelor +3) and can demonstrate at least two years of professional experience in the relevant sector.

Access to the second year of the program leading to the “Business Manager” Level 7 certification is open to learners who can demonstrate : 

        – A validated Bachelor +4 level qualification or equivalent, registered with the RNCP,

        – Or a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL / VAE) process,

        – And an exemption from the following competency blocks :

Block 1 – Define and implement a sustainable commercial strategy in line with the economic profitability objectives set by the executive management committee

Block 2 – Develop business activity through customer acquisition and retention, leveraging the company’s digital transformation processes

Requests for exemptions are reviewed by a committee chaired by the certifying body, which assesses the application based on the candidate’s validated prior education and professional background.
Such exemptions do not grant equivalency; the competency blocks concerned will still be subject to assessment.

Prerequisites – Continuing Professional Education :

To gain direct access to the certification, candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

        – Hold a Level 6 qualification (Bachelor +3 / Bachelor +4 or equivalent), or

        – Hold a Level 5 qualification (Bachelor +2 or equivalent) with at least three years of professional experience in management and/or commercial functions.

By way of exceptional admission, candidates may also be considered if they can demonstrate:

        – A Level 6 qualification (Bachelor +3) with two years of professional experience in the sector, or

        – A Level 5 qualification (Bachelor +2) in management or commercial fields with five years of professional experience in the sector.

 

Selection Procedure : 

For all applicants, selection is based on an application file validating the prerequisites and the alignment between the candidate’s professional project and the objectives of the program.

The quality of professional experience is assessed at the discretion of the admissions committee.

If necessary, an individual motivation interview and a placement test may be organized.

Admission Requirements :

The professional qualification “Business Manager” – Level 7 (equivalent to Bachelor +5 / Master’s level) is open to :

• Applicants holding a Level 6 qualification (Bachelor +3) or higher, having obtained at least 180 ECTS credits.


• Professionals applying through the Validation of Prior Learning (VPL / VAE) pathway, provided they can demonstrate at least one year of professional experience directly related to the competencies targeted by the certification.


• Applicants admitted through an exceptional admission route, for candidates who do not hold the required diploma but can demonstrate a professional background consistent with the expectations of the qualification.

The program is offered in work-study (apprenticeship), initial training, or VAE formats, depending on the candidate’s profile.
